It’s time to take math out of the rigid and boring classroom and discover it elsewhere—in nature, in the arts, in literature, and in the craziest places in history. Whether you’re a lover or a hater of math, whether you’re methodical or creative, whether you’re a sixth grader or the grandmother of the sixth grader, it’s never too late to be reacquainted with the funky side of math!

Join us at the Forum of Fully Booked, Bonifacio High Street on October 22, 2011, at 2pm. Be a witness to why mathematics is actually a part of pop culture.

Workshop Fee of P300 includes a goody bag filled with hands-on materials and tools to use during the session and lots of interesting objects for discovery, and participation in games for a chance to win prizes and freebies.

I have an eight-page feature at this month’s issue of Decanto Magazine. The editor Lisa Stewart of Masque Publishing in Littlehampton, West Sussex, UK has picked my poems Let Yourself Go, La Bella Figura, and Poison and Daggers. She also interviewed me about my lyrical influences and my thoughts on poetry and the arts both as personal forces and as academic concepts. And she also put a picture of me and a brief bio. Follow the adventures of Angela as she chronicles her pursuit of the next caffeine fix on her blog, capturing vivid snapshots of city life and insights into the coffee drinking culture. Witness the miraculous ways in which her love affair with coffee changes her life and those of the people around her, and ultimately lets her participate in the act of fulfilling destiny…

Mixing the poetry of everyday reality with metaphysical speculations about life and the passage of time, The Espresso Effect gives a whimsical, caffeine-charged look at the world, and maintains the faith that true love always deserves a second chance.

Here it is, my debut novel, in collaboration with the coffee painter Sunshine Plata. Launching on September 23, 2010 at Bo’s Coffee on Bonifacio High Street, Fort Bonifacio Global City, Taguig. The best coffee in the world will be served!
